"Nepal World Challenge Expedition Photos: Summer 2010"
Trekking Phase
Students spend 19 days trekking through the Nepalese Himalayas, climbing Tsergo Ri (5,000m). The tea house shown is typical of the locations where students stopped to rest during their hikes.
The prayer flags on top of Tsergo Ri were common place in the Langtang region due to its proximity with Tibet.
Project Phase
In Nepal, all four teams worked in schools. These photos show Mr Riley's team working in Tarun Secondary School in Balaju, Kathmandu.
The photos show one of the classrooms before and after the team had painted it and the team covered in paint after a hard week's work.
The project phase was considered one of the highlights of the trip by many. The daily football matches in the pouring rain provided an excellent chance to develop friendships with local students.

Rest and Relaxation
These photos show some of the activities that challengers got involved with on the R&R phase of the expedition.
Photographed are Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most significant Hindu Temples of Lord Shiva, found in Eastern Kathmandu, a snap from the infamous Monkey Temple of Kathmandu and a photo from the cockpit of the team's flight in the Himalayas showing the summit of Mt Everest.
