Application Process for Sixth Form

 Application Process for September 2022 entry

Applications for Sixth Form are now open to both boys and girls.
The notes and dates below give you an indication of the pattern of events over the coming months.

The first date is the Open Evening.  We strongly recommend that you attend as this is an ideal opportunity to look round the school, see presentations on each A level course you may be interested in and most importantly you have the chance to ask teachers questions about their subject area.         

Time Line

Wednesday 6th October 2021

Sixth Form Open Evening at Lawrence Sheriff School at 6-8pm.

The Sixth Form Prospectus will be available to view and download.


The Open Evening is for Year 11 students, boys and girls, interested in joining the Sixth Form.  
Thursday 7th October 2021

 Application process for all is opened.  This means you can now submit your application.   
4.00pm Friday 10th December 2021

Final time and date for receipt of applicationsIf your application is received after this time and date, it will be placed on a waitlist.

Induction day – to be held on 14th and 15th July.
GCSE Results Day Thursday 25th August 2022

Individual meetings with potential Sixth Form students following GCSE results.  The final part of the process. Students return to Lawrence Sheriff School with their GCSE results to discuss their conditional place in the light of their results to ensure that the admission criteria has been satisfied. Once your place has been confirmed you will receive a Welcome pack containing all the relevant information you will need prior to starting in September.
