Lawrence Sheriff School prides itself on the vast range of extracurricular subjects offered to students during the morning tutor periods on Tuesday and Thursday.
Courses to support, develop and introduce different disciplines including Astronomy, Computer Fun, Drama, Extended Project, French Film, Marquetry, Rock Band, Ukelele and World Challenge are just a few of the wide ranging options available.
Students are asked to make choices at the beginning of the academic year according to their interests or to take the opportunity to try something new.
Subjects are classified according to their suitability for different year groups. Some subjects run all year and others have a termly cycle to enable more students to have a turn.
Enrichment is an opportunity for students to broaden their skills and knowledge.

Students will learn a range of skills from basic lifesaving to the more commonly used first aid skills. This will be completed through mostly practical elements using a range of equipment including mannequins, practice defibrillators and bandages etc. All students will be given a certificate of completion. Whilst this isn't a formally recognised qualification, students can then go on to complete a 4 hour course showing their competence in basic lifesaving skills outside of enrichment to gain a useful 3 year long qualification if they wish.
