Year 7 - Fundraising for Lepra 2017

Lepra logo
A representative from Lepra gave a talk to the Year 7 students in their assembly on Wednesday 11th January 2017 about their work fighting disease, poverty and prejudice and in particular looking after and treating children, women and men with leprosy. This is to help develop a wider understanding and empathy with people facing health issues which can often isolate them from their communities.

As an international charity they work on the ground in regions of greatest need; India and Bangladesh and Mozambique, to treat, educate, rehabilitate and give a voice to people living on the margins of society, helping them to improve their health, lives and livelihoods.

The children had been asked to fundraise for Lepra and took part in a Lepra street dance workout during the day on Wednesday 1st February, getting active and raising money for the charity.

Congratulations to the gentlemen of Year 7 for raising £596.33 for our charity - LEPRA by performing a street dance session.  Extra thanks go to:

Jed Jankowski CSKA

Thomson Joy SJWA

Dami Ogunleye WEKK
